Erqi Yangtze River Bridge

Opening Time: December 2011 Length: 6,507 m Design Speed: 80 km/h

The Erqi Yangtze River Bridge starts at Zhuyeshan Interchange in the west and extends to Hongmiaohui Interchange in the south. The bridge carries a two-way, eight-lane urban expressway. As an integral part of Wuhan's Second Ring Road, it serves as a vital link between Hankou and Wuchang. Architecturally, the bridge is designed with a vase-shaped structure, with cable stays resembling an open umbrella. Its three towering pylons symbolize the three adjacent towns of Wuhan.

Grand Floral Sea

The Grand Floral Sea is the highlight of Phase IV of Hankou River Beach, covering 65,000 square m. It features a vibrant collection of flowers, including tall verbena, elegant zinnia, garden cosmos, purple loosestrife, and canna lilies. Divided by Erqi Binjiang Plaza, the upstream section showcases single-species flower fields complemented by clusters of large trees, while the downstream section highlights ornamental grasses. Winding pathways, boardwalks, and viewing platforms provide visitors with elevated vantage points to admire the stunning river, bridges, and floral landscapes.

“Yangtze River Covenant” Water-shaped Sculpture

This 9-meter-diameter silver sculpture, named “Yangtze River Covenant,” symbolizes Wuhan's firm commitment to protecting the Yangtze River. Made entirely of stainless steel, it shimmers like a radiant platinum ring from a distance, while up close, it resembles a gushing stream of water, making it a unique landmark along the Wuhan Yangtze River.
