Wuhan Central Book Mall Metaverse Industrial Park

Wuhan Central Book Mall Metaverse Industrial Park is situated in the Lingjiaohu commercial district of Hankou, and is jointly operated by Wuhan Publishing Group and 5.5 Science and Innovation Service Group. The park has established a range of functional facilities, including a shared roadshow center, a metaverse AI public service pilot platform, and a smart park management platform. As of 2024, the park has attracted nearly 60 artificial intelligence and digital creative enterprises, achieving an annual output value of RMB 6 billion.

As Wuhan’s first metaverse-themed eco-park, the park is focused on the twin pillars of “metaverse” and “digital creative content,” building an industry chain spanning technology empowerment, content production, scenario deployment, and ecosystem services. The occupancy rate has remained stable at above 94%, with 3 publicly listed companies, 9 enterprises among the “four classes of enterprises above designated size,” 4 SRDI enterprises, and 12 high-tech enterprises now operating within the park.

Centered on the full lifecycle needs of enterprises, the park has built six service systems covering human resources, marketing, investment and financing, talent training, technology transformation, and IP brokerage, providing a one-stop service offering that spans business registration, financial and tax advisory, legal consultation, intellectual property protection, science and technology project application, and financing matchmaking.

The park has partnered with 16 financial institutions to establish diversified financing channels, launching dedicated products such as “Sci-Tech Innovation Loan” and “Sci-Tech Guarantee Loan,” while regularly hosting investment and financing matchmaking events. In parallel, the park actively facilitates connections between enterprises and external application scenarios, driving the adoption of VR/AR technologies across sectors such as culture-tourism and education — including assisting SUNUPCG in developing an immersive campus history museum, and collaborating with Huoying Digital Technology to create an AR guided tour for the Former Residence of Zhang Juzheng.

On the talent front, the park has co-established industry-education integration and talent cultivation bases with Wuhan Textile University and Jianghan University, attracting university graduates through project roadshows and policy promotions, thereby alleviating recruitment pressure on resident enterprises.

Looking ahead, the park will accelerate the development of Wuhan’s first metaverse public technology service pilot platform, advance collaboration with Jintuoshu Culture in areas such as AR immersive culture-tourism and intelligent digital IP development, and continue attracting industry-leading enterprises, with the dedication to establishing itself as the benchmark park for digital creative content and metaverse industries in Central China.
