On May 10, 2026, the direct near-sea route from Hannan Port Area to Japan and South Korea officially resumed, as a fully loaded cargo ship departed Hannan Port Area for Busan, South Korea. This resumption marks another milestone since the launch of Hannan Port Area's first international direct shipping route last year, reopening a green channel for inland foreign trade to reach the sea and establishing a streamlined logistics link that enables Hubei's locally-sourced cargo to reach overseas markets directly.
