Wuhan adds China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train service dedicated to exporting vehicles

China Railway has implemented a new freight train operating map nationwide starting April 10, 2026. Under the new schedule, one additional China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train from Wuhan to Alashankou will be added on Fridays.

The newly added service is dedicated to exporting vehicles manufactured in Hubei. With the addition, the outbound China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train trips from Wuhan have increased to nine per week.

As of April 12, a total of 6,268 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train trips have been made in Wuhan, covering 63 stable cross-border routes that reach 124 cities in 42 countries across Eurasia. In the first quarter of this year, the service helped drive a 79.24 percent year-on-year increase in exports of Hubei's automobile industry.
