New China-Europe freight train route from Wuhan to Romania launched‌

A batch of building materials transported by a China-Europe freight train successfully arrived in Arad, Romania, from Wuhan on Nov. 16, 2025.

The train left China through the Alataw Pass in Xinjiang, running through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, and other countries. It took Budapest in Hungary as a key hub for rail distribution before reaching Arad.

The new route will establish an efficient logistics channel for trade between Hubei and Central and Eastern European countries.

To date, Wuhan has opened 60 stable cross-border China-Europe freight train routes, connecting 40 countries and 121 cities across Eurasia. Products made in Hubei, including machinery, building materials, new energy vehicles, and electronics, have been continuously transported to the outside world via this rail network.
