AI, green manufacturing, and industrial machine tool enterprises from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) have made several prestigious lists announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Ten projects were selected as exemplary cases for AI applications by 2025, four companies were recognized as national-level green factories, and several industrial machine tools from OVC were acknowledged as innovative products for 2026.

The MIIT's list of "2025 Exemplary Cases of AI Applications" included 19 projects from Hubei province, with OVC contributing 10 of them. These cases play a crucial role in driving the digital and intelligent transformation of industries, with OVC's selected projects spanning sectors such as model development, smart manufacturing, intelligent healthcare, and smart governance.

During the Green Manufacturing System Policy Briefing Conference on July 2, four OVC companies were designated as national-level green factories. This recognition by the MIIT represents the highest standard in green development for the manufacturing sector, indicating leadership in energy conservation, carbon reduction, clean production, recycling, and digital green management.

On July 4, the MIIT's Equipment Industry Development Center released the "2026 Exemplary Cases of Innovative Industrial Machine Tools", where several "Made in OVC" machine tool products received national recognition, underscoring their innovation and excellence in the industry.
