On July 5, a freight train loaded with household appliances, chemicals, machinery parts and electronics departed from Wujiashan Station in Wuhan, heading for Kazakhstan, Central Asia.

The train was the first additional scheduled service since China Railway implemented a new operating plan on July 1. To meet growing demand, Wuhan increased the China-Central Asia freight train service from one to twotrains per week (on Saturdays and Sundays).

Since April 2025, Wuhan has operated 386 China-Central Asia freight train trips, reaching 51 cities across nine Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
