Wuhan Optics Valley Yunjing Senior High School, a branch of Wuhan Foreign Languages School, is set to open this fall. The school plans to enroll 300 students this year, welcoming applicants from both Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) and Wuhan's central urban areas.

The campus covers approximately 89,300 square meters and is equipped with modern facilities, including academic buildings, specialized laboratories, an innovation center, a standard sports field, a modern library, a smart cafeteria, and student dormitories.
The school will share management and resources with Wuhan Foreign Languages School's main campus. Foreign language courses will be taught in small classes, using the same textbooks and teaching schedules as the main campus. Students will have access to international exchange programs, academic competitions, and regular events, such as language festivals, Model United Nations, and foreign-language debates.

The core management team of the school is directly appointed from the main campus, featuring mathematics experts, competition coaches, and city-level academic leaders. Class advisors and subject leaders will also be key teachers from the main campus.
The school will also engage professors from Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as experts from leading local companies such as Huawei and Xiaomi, to serve as part-time mentors.
After more than 20 years of development, OVC now hosts 222 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, with 180,000 students enrolled, making it a leader in educational strength in the city.
