OVC launches first "Qingtong Home" for entrepreneurs

The 2025 "Optics Valley Qingtonghui Ultra" annual conference took place on Feb 4, bringing together over 500 entrepreneurs, investors, and industry representatives in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

The event marked the launch of the first "Qingtong Home". Located in the Motai Space of Fanyue City on Guanshan Avenue, the platform aims to build a closed-loop ecosystem for AI entrepreneurship. It offers a comprehensive base for entrepreneurs, integrating office space, roadshow venues, and exhibition areas.

Financially, the platform has established an initial 20 million yuan ($2.88 million) concept validation seed fund. It collaborates with institutions like Optics Valley Angel Venture Capital Fund Management Co to provide a full spectrum of financial services, including equity, debt, and guarantees.

For resource connections, it links entrepreneurs with leading universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan University, as well as industry associations, fostering face-to-face collaboration networks.

"Qingtong Home" plans to expand its physical presence locally and across universities nationwide, creating a permanent "home" for entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, share experiences, and support each other.

A total of 18 projects signed agreements for financing, investment, and industrial collaboration at the conference. Among them, six tech projects secured funding, while eight planned to establish operations in OVC's parks and incubators, focusing on new factory construction and team recruitment.

Since its inception in 2013, "Optics Valley Qingtonghui" has grown into a flagship innovation and entrepreneurship event. It has hosted more than 120 sessions and over 1,300 project roadshows, attracted nearly 1,500 investment firms, and facilitated more than 20 billion yuan in financing.
