Optics Valley Business School was inaugurated on Jan 13, marking the launch of its first "Excellence Class". The institution aims to nurture a cohort of outstanding tech entrepreneurs who combine technical expertise, business insight, and a global perspective.

Optics Valley Business School is launched to cultivate top tech entrepreneurs
Over the next three years, the school plans to cultivate 500 tech entrepreneurs and innovators, help at least 50 companies achieve annual revenues exceeding 100 million yuan ($14.36 million), and contribute to the addition of 500 new gazelle companies – small and medium-sized enterprises with high growth potential in the high-tech sector – in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
The school boasts a robust faculty, with advisory board members including chairpersons and presidents from renowned companies like HGTECH and NIO. Professors hail from prestigious institutions such as Peking University, Wuhan University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, providing comprehensive support to enterprises.
The school emphasizes "precision and practicality" in its curriculum, "seamless integration and open collaboration" in its resource ecosystem, and "value co-creation" in its community culture. By fostering successive generations of tech entrepreneurs, the school aims to develop world-class companies and leaders capable of competing on a global stage.
The inaugural "Excellence Class" is co-designed with elite academic partners, including China Europe International Business School. It addresses real-world challenges faced by growth-stage companies, with participants drawn from provincial-level specialized and innovative enterprises, OVC's gazelle companies, and organizations backed by prominent investment firms.
