Hubei’s border inspection authorities have recorded over 1.5 million entry and exit passenger trips as of November 9 this year, surpassing the level of the entire year of 2024.
Of the total, the number of foreign tourists has exceeded 334,000, up 11.7 percent compared to the entire year of 2024.
The strong growth momentum in foreign arrivals to Hubei has extended to the fourth quarter of 2025, driven largely by the country's continued expansion of its visa-free access policies. During the period, foreign nationals made 168,000 visits to Hubei under visa-free policies, marking a 39.5 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Since this year, the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport has handled over 1.3 million passenger trips, including more than 235,000 foreign visitors. These figures have increased by 21.14 percent and 33.7 percent respectively, compared to the same period last year. Both indicators have remained at the top in central China.
