The 17th China Bioindustry Convention is set to take place from Sept 4 to 6 at the Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

This year's convention focuses on "high-end, professional, international, and market-oriented" themes. It features five key segments: policy interpretation, technical discussions, resource collaboration, international cooperation, and results transformation. 

The previous China Bioindustry Convention

The event will include an opening ceremony, high-level bio-manufacturing forum, over 10 specialized sub-forums, the 2025 Bio-Manufacturing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, a bio-industry supply and demand matchmaking event, and a Life and Health Carnival.

Additionally, a 10,000-square-meter professional exhibition will offer companies an efficient platform to connect with market resources and provide attendees a comprehensive view of China's bioindustry development and innovations.

The China Bioindustry Convention is the largest and most influential professional event in China's bioindustry sector. It is co-hosted by 17 national academic societies and associations including the Chinese Society of Biotechnology, along with the China Science Daily. Since 2018, the convention has been permanently located in Wuhan and Guangzhou, alternating between the two cities each year.
