A Kodiak 100 aircraft completed its maiden flight from Ezhou Huahu International Airport to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport on August 15, inaugurating a low-altitude cargo route between Wuhan and Ezhou.
It marks the second dedicated low-altitude freight route at the Huahu International Airport, Asia's first all-cargo hub airport.
The Kodiak 100, with a maximum payload of 1.2 tonnes and speed of 300 km/h, can reduce flight time between the two airports to approximately 30 minutes.
"Priority will be given to time-sensitive shipments like pharmaceuticals and fresh products at present," introduced a representative from Hubei Airport Group Aviation Logistics Co. The route will operate 1 to 2 weekly flights at the initial stage, handling about 1 tonne per trip.
