The Concept Verification Center of the Institute of New Energy, Wuhan (INEW) was launched on July 25 in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), facilitating the initial stage of technology transformation for universities and research institutes.
The newly established center specializes in new energy storage, power systems, smart energy, energy electronics, and future materials. It provides simulation design, prototype development, process verification, product testing, and commercial prospect evaluation to reduce market risks and enable technology transformation.
A launch event is held for the INEW Concept Verification Center.
"This year, we plan to incubate five to 10 projects, and assist one or two in obtaining financing," said Yang Kai, director of INEW. The center will integrate the entire chain of concept verification, pilot amplification, and incubation acceleration to help bridge the initial "valley of death" stage for technology industrialization.
The center will also establish a high-end think tank for the new energy industry, cultivate a team of professional technical managers and innovative technology enterprises, and build an innovative ecosystem for the industry, driving technology achievements from the laboratory to industrialization.
Eight enterprises were announced as part of the center during the launch event, with several projects making significant progress towards industrialization. A closed-door university special exchange session was also held to create a precise matching channel between university research achievements and industrial needs.
