Vinyl youth community emerges

Over the past decade, vinyl records have been making a comeback in the West. In China, domestic vinyl records began to reappear in 2007. Nowadays, in cities such as Wuhan, Chengdu, and Xi'an, young people listening to them have become noticeably prominent.

The Long Play Planet, a vinyl record store located in the Huafa Zhongcheng Mall, Qingnian Road, Hankou, has become the embodiment of vinyl. The decoration in the store is full of nostalgia, and there is a variety of classical, jazz, rock, folk, and pop records.

The flow of people during a typical two-day weekend exceeds 300 per day, with 70% to 80% of them being young people aged 15 to 30. According to store manager Zhou, there are many vinyl record enthusiasts among the customers. Many college students also come here to buy their favorite singers' vinyl, and even some DJs will come stating that the sound of vinyl is more mellow and warm.
