The National Day holiday is just around the corner. You surely want to know what to do for fun during the holiday in Wuhan. Changjiang Weekly has selected the following activities for you. Whether you are a hipster who loves exhibitions or an artistic youth who wants to embrace nature, there are always ways for you to enjoy yourself during the approaching holiday.
Travel in space on your doorstep
The third national stop of "Boundless," an official aerospace art exhibition put on by the China Aerospace Science and Cultural Innovation (CASCI), will take place between Sept. 23 and Dec. 26 in Wuhan Mixc mall (万象城).
The exhibition, composed of 15 sections, explores three major themes: space travel, the interstellar, and parallel universes. In addition to enjoying a panoramic view of the centennial history of space exploration, visitors will be able to board a simulated spaceship to experience space travel in its core module and return cabin.

Experience 'One Day in Paris' at illustration show
"One Day in Paris," an immersive interactive visual exhibition, will kick off in the Hotel Andi of Wuhan on Sept. 30. The exhibition showcases the most representative scenes of life in Paris selected from the picture book, "Every Day in Paris," created by the illustrator Meng Meng Sun.

Art exhibition integrating digital images and traditional paintings
The "A Meta Excursion · Jin Jiangbo's Solo Exhibition" opened in the United Art Museum artist demonstrates the carefree attitude and comfort of the Oriental lifestyle with digital images and traditional brush-and-ink paintings. The free exhibition will continue until Nov. 16.

Children's paintings exhibited in Jiefang Park
On Sept. 22, the hydrophilic platform corridor in Jiefang Park was decorated with interesting and delightful children's paintings. On display at this colorful exhibition are outstanding works of the 9th "Most Beautiful Children's Paintings" competition. The exhibition will continue for one month at the park.

Street Art Festival at Happy Valley
During the holiday, Wuhan Happy Valley will launch a Street Art Festival, a series of events to entertain tourists. At the Kuoyi Music Festival, independent musicians will give live performances featuring diverse music styles. The "art toy" fair in the park will have activities like lawn picnics and awesome stuff shopping. Street performances will be staged in succession.

Crab Tribe at East Lake beach area
The Crab Tribe, a popular part of the East Lake beach area, has recently reopened after having undergone an upgrade. From Wednesday to Sunday, an autumn starry night candlelight concert will present tourists with a romantic evening. People can play beach volleyball on the sand, or play on swings by the lake. A waft of barbecue grill from the nearby Moon Night camping site will make everyone's mouth water.
During the holiday, the scenic area will also launch a carnival in which a lot of activities will take place such as dance performances, clown balloon interactions magic trick shows, band performances, and bubble shows.

Camping and barbecue at Shangri-La
During the National Day holiday, locals can enjoy a wonderful camping experience at Shangri-La Wuhan. There will be camping tents, barbecue buffets, outdoor movies, and live band performances as well as games of "script killing" specifically designed for kids. Additionally, the hotel is giving guests staying or dining at the hotel free tickets or discounts to the official aerospace art exhibition, "Boundless."
Every day during the seven-day holiday, the hotel will offer different dishes and hold various children's activities.

Wetland, most instagrammable location
The Moon Lake Ecological Scenic Spot is in Huangpi District, next to ancient streets dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. It lies opposite the Xiajiasi and Meidian reservoirs in the Mulan Lake Scenic Area, forming a "Sun-Moon-Star" triangle. The lake has a water storage capacity of 108 million cubic meters and has become a famous wetland eco-tourism area.
