Sino-French Friendship Bridge, the first low-pylon single-face double-row cable-stayed bridge in Hubei Province, was officially inaugurated on Nov.9 in Caidian District of Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei.
The bridge links the Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City with Wuhan Linkonggang Economic & Technological Development Zone, and shortens the distance by 30 minutes’ driving.
As known, the Sino-French Friendship Bridge is invested by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd, and constructed by its third company. With total investment of 678 million Yuan, it is the 7th highway bridge over the Hanjiang River, and also the first completed large scale project of Sino-French Ecological City.
The bridge starts from Sanguan Village in the south, connecting Zhiyinhu Road, and stretches till Hujiatai in Dongxihu District, connecting with the No.107 national highway and could be directly linked to the Dongxihu Station of China-Europe (Wuhan) freight train.
