source: hubei.gov.cn     2017-07-12

Following the Peshawar-Karachi Motorway Project, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. (CCTEB), a construction company headquartered in Wuhan, won another bid in Pakistan, buiding the expansion project of the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

With a bid amount of 41 billion rupees (about 2.64 billion yuan), this is the largest airport project undertaken by CCTEB abroad.

Allama Iqubal International Airport is located in Lahore, Pakistan's second largest city. After completed, it will be Pakistan's largest airport and will greatly facilitate the economic development of the region.

Till now, CCTEB has already built a series of high-end projects in Pakistan, such as the JF-17 aircraft manufacturing plant, the Lahore software technology park, the Centaurus Hotel, the new international airport terminal in Islamabad, and the Peshawar-Karachi Highway (the section between Sukker and Multan), which is the largest transport project of the "Sino-Pakistani Economic Corridor".
