Wuhan’s frist general aviation airport taking shape in Hannan District

With the completion of main terminal, Wuhan’s first general aviation airport initially debuted in Hannan District, local media said on July 4, 2017.

In this November, the first World Fly-in Expo (WFE) will be held here. By then, more than 3,000 athletes and around 1,000 aircrafts from 60 countries will gather in Wuhan which is expected to attract over 300 aviation equipments and supplies manufacturers and 600,000 audiences.

The Hannan general aviation airport is listed among China’s first batch of demonstration aviation bases with total investment of 780 million yuan and area of 919 mu. It includes airfield area, terminal area, loop road, international aerospace engineering center, etc, and can accommodate small cargo aircrafts.

Now, the main part and outer wall of the terminal have been completed. The rest appurtenant works are scheduled to finish no later than late September.
