Freight train loaded with finished cars arrive in Wuhan from Poland
A train, loaded with 150 Volvo cars arrived in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, on Oct. 13.
Departed from Malaszewicze of Poland 12 days ago, it is the first train for import of finished cars in Hubei, and also marks the first large-scale import of finished cars by China-Europe freight train to Wuhan.
Another two return trips, started on Oct. 5 and Oct. 7 from Malaszewicze, are expected to carry back 350 Volvo cars worth around 96.73 million yuan. It means that the time from ordering to picking up the car will be cut to 20 days for customers in Wuhan and surrounding cities, much faster than maritime freight.
Up to now, the China-Europe Express (Wuhan) freight trains have provided transportation service for Bentley, Audi, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and other brands, amounting to 424 finished cars with an approximate value of 157 million yuan.
